Large Arber Lake

Oberzwieselau Golf Park
The Oberzwieselau Golf Park is an 18-hole championship course set in the countryside and covers an area of 100 hectares. Beginners are in good hands at the on-site golf school.
Englmar climbing forest
Outdoor climbing fun for the whole family! Conquer 8 fun courses with a total length of 1.3 kilometres and 65 elements. You can reach heights of up to 11 metres! There is also a special children's course for young climbers.
Bavarian Forest National Park
Put on your walking boots and get ready to experience Germany's largest forest national park, covering an area of almost 25,000 hectares with approx. 320 km of signposted trails. Together with the Bohemian Forest, it forms the largest protected forest area in central Europe.

Forest Museum
Immerse yourself in the history of the Bavarian Forest and get to know the local flora and fauna. A small forest hut demonstrates how the forest shepherds used to live and a primeval forest diorama provides unusual insights.
Bavarian Forest Treetop Walk
The treetop path has numerous adventure elements in store for visitors: rope and wobbly bridges as well as balancing beams turn the path into an adventure. The highlight of the trail is the 44-metre-high tree tower with fantastic views.
Bodenmais visitor mine
Discover the underworld at Bodenmais, where ore was mined as early as the 12th century. Take the mountain railway to the summit and enjoy the panoramic view. There is a playground right next to the mine for little explorers.

Viechtach Crystal Museum
View 1,000-plus crystals and minerals that are on display here and learn more about the origin of the various exhibits on a guided tour. You will find souvenirs of your visit in the museum shop.
Riesloch waterfalls
These 200-metre-high waterfalls are considered to be the highest in the entire Bavarian Forest. Pay a visit to this natural spectacle during a hike. The route runs alongside a waterfall and is pleasantly shady.
Grafenau summer toboggan run
Climb aboard and enjoy a 450-metre ride through the countryside. Once at the top, it's a rapid descent down a spectacular 1.2 km-long track. The longest summer toboggan run in the Bavarian Forest guarantees fun for the whole family!
