Loenense waterfall
Loenen is a beautiful starting point from which to undertake a variety of trips across the Veluwe. Visit the highest waterfall in the country. The 15-metre-high manmade waterfall was built in 1869 in the Schalter woods to regulate the water level in the region. Take a walk through this beautiful area and admire this feat of human ingenuity.
Castle ter Horst
Tucked away in the woods near Loenen, this beautiful estate is a hidden gem. Continue your drive and you will be rewarded by the beautiful sight of Castle ter Horst and the historic coach houses.
Veluwezoom National Park
Head out into nature for a day and explore Veluwezoom National Park. Here you will find over 5,100 hectares of forest, moors, sand drifts and stately country manors east of Arnhem.

Apenheul
If you are crazy about monkeys, the Apenheul is the place for you. Here you will not only come face to face with the most beautiful and powerful monkeys, but you can even touch some. Small squirrel monkeys climb and play all around you in the park. Some cheeky monkeys may even try to sit on your lap.
Juliana tower
Experience a fun day out at the Juliana Tower family amusement park. The park offers more than 60 fantastic attractions and shows. Take a spin on Jul's Super Roller Coaster, the Ferris wheel and the carousel. Enjoy a ride in the Mega Mouse swing and jump as high as you can in Jul's Bungee Trampolines.
Palace Het Loo
Over 300-year-old Palace Het Loo is the former Royal Palace. Admire the breathtaking art collections exhibited at the palace. Walk inside the stables and coach houses. Also visit the peaceful palace gardens where you will find beautiful fountains, shrubs and plants.

The Arnhem region is characterised by beautiful countryside and culture. The Historic Cellars of Arnhem are home to a large number of underground cellars that are connected by passageways, forming a mysterious maze. If you feel like shopping, then a visit to Arnhem is a must.
The smallest town in the Netherlands
The town of Bronkhorst began as a farming settlement near the former castle of Bronkhorst. Only the hill and a few small remnants remain of the castle. Visit the old farmhouses, the narrow cobblestone streets and places to see.
Old Crafts and Toys Museum
Travel back to a time before electricity when most work was still done by hand. Here you will find a collection of more than 160 different old crafts, trades and shops. In addition to the old crafts, the museum also displays a collection of old and antique toys.
