Saltburn-by-the-Sea
Experience a truly traditional seaside resort: at Saltburn-by-the-Sea you'll find the area's last remaining pier and a historic funicular tramway that will transport you down onto the promenade. There's also a miniature railway, mini golf, shops, arcades, surfing and rockpooling opportunities.
North Yorkshire Moors Railway
This 24-mile heritage railway line traverses the stunning North York Moors National Park. Its steam and heritage diesel trains make stops along the way, including at Goathland Station, which is best known as Hogsmeade Station in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
Roseberry Topping
From the summit of this distinctive 320-metre-high hill you can soak up spectacular views across Cleveland and North Yorkshire. Plus, there are nature-rich bluebell woods, heather moorlands and an abandoned quarry to explore here.
Mount Grace Priory
Nestled in beautiful surroundings at the foot of the Cleveland Hills, Mount Grace Priory is the perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet. Explore the remains of England's best-preserved medieval Carthusian monastery as well as a reconstructed monk's cell, a manor house and 13 acres of beautiful gardens. There's also a cafe here.
Teesmouth National Nature Reserve
The mudflats, sand dunes, intertidal sand and grazing marsh of Teesmouth National Nature Reserve are home to water birds, birds of prey, two species of seal, and wild flowers including orchids. Wander the paths here and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
Air Trail Tees Barrage
Can you conquer this exciting high ropes adventure course suspended 18 metres above the River Tees? Set over four levels, it features 38 challenges including cargo nets, rope bridges, zip lines and tight ropes. There's even a separate mini course designed for younger adventurers!
Tees Barrage International White Water Centre

Captain Cook Birthplace Museum
Through fascinating permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions, the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum in nearby Middlesbrough tells the life story of this famous navigator - and is located close to the site of the cottage in which he was born.
