Landal GreenParks doubles the number of holiday parks in Great Britain
Landal GreenParks will expand again in the UK, adding ten holiday parks by the end of next year and thus doubling its current portfolio. This growth is made possible thanks to a partnership with Luxury Lodges Estates, offering seven high-quality destinations in England, Wales and Scotland; Landal Barnsoul in the Scottish region of Dumfries & Galloway, Landal Vale of Usk in Monmouthshire (Wales) and Landal North Lakes Lodges in the English Lake District. As far as the latter park is concerned, bookings can already be made for arrivals planned for January 2022.
In 2017, Landal Darwin Forest opened as the first British park of Landal GreenParks. In five years' time, the holiday provider has grown to 19 destinations.
“Our rapid growth in the UK, with parks from Cornwall to Scotland, has placed Landal GreenParks firmly on the map. British holidaymakers love our destinations in the heart of the countryside, our high-quality product and the focus we place on our guests. The new additions we are announcing today represent a major growth spurt in popular areas in England, Wales and Scotland. In the UK too, there is a trend for holidaymakers to stay closer to home, and we are pleased to be able to offer them more options to choose from,” said Dirk Anbeek, Managing Director of
Landal GreenParks.
Luxury Lodges Estates (7 locations): completion from January - December 2022
Spread across England, Wales and Scotland are 7 holiday parks with premium lodges, cottages and apartments, which will be expanded in the coming years to meet the increased demand for high-quality holiday accommodation. The locations are in Cornwall, Pembrokeshire (Wales), Scotland, the Lake District, County Durham (Northumberland) and Lincolnshire. The seven locations will all be available for rent in the course of 2022.
Landal Barnsoul: first opening in April-May 2022
Dumfries & Galloway is the most south-westerly part of Scotland. Galloway Forest Park is one of three National Parks in the region, characterised by mountains, lakes and forests. The nearby town of Dumfries is the largest and oldest in the area and very popular for its history, culture and activities.
Whereas all other Landal parks in Great Britain are franchise parks, Landal Barnsoul is the first holiday park to be run entirely by Landal. It is a renewed caravan park with 40 architect-designed lodges. It will be gradually expanded up to 220 high-quality holiday cottages in the coming years, including central facilities at the holiday park.
Landal North Lakes Lodges will open in January 2022
Landal North Lakes Lodges is located in the county of Cumbria in the north-western, most mountainous part of England. It is also home to the Lake District National Park, traditionally England's most popular tourist destination for year-round outdoor activities. Over the next few years, the current small and high-quality holiday park consisting of 21 luxury lodges and a restaurant will gradually expand to 250 luxury holiday homes with facilities.
Landal Vale of Usk
Landal Vale of Usk is located in the county of Monmouthshire in Wales, just across the border from England. In the surrounding area are Brecon Beacons National Park, Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Forest of Dean. Landal Vale of Usk is being newly developed from the ground up into a wonderful wellness destination with luxury, sustainably built design lodges, which will be available for rent in 2022. There will also be a golf course, spa and wellness facilities, a conference centre, fitness and leisure facilities and a wide variety of luxurious accommodations, from design lodges to tree houses.
Other parks in Great Britain
Other Landal parks in Great Britain are Landal Barton Pines in South Devon, Landal Woodland Lakes Lodges in Yorkshire, Landal Darwin Forest and Landal Sandybrook, both on the edge of Peak District National Park, Landal Kielder Waterside, located in Northumberland's Kielder Water & Forest Park, Landal Gwel an Mor on the Cornish coast, Landal Kenwick Woods in Lincolnshire, Landal Rockingham Forest in Northamptonshire (the first brand-new site on British soil) and Landal Piperdam in Scotland.
