New holiday park Landal Water Resort Blocksyl: quality boost for the Kop van Overijssel

Landal GreenParks is once again expanding with a new luxury holiday destination – Landal Water Resort Blocksyl – located in the ‘Kop van Overijssel’ (lit. the 'Head of Overijssel’), a region close to Weerribben-Wieden National Park. The new holiday park is located on the waterfront between the picturesque town of Blokzijl and the well-known village of Giethoorn. Here, approximately 109 sustainable and energy-efficient holiday homes are being built on spacious plots with views over the water. The first 39 holiday homes are now being offered for sale to private investors. The residences will be developed and managed by recreation company De Kalkoven, built by construction company Veeneman and rented out by Landal GreenParks after completion. The first holiday homes will be rented out in the course of 2022.

In the 'Kop van Overijssel, near Blokzijl and Giethoorn
Landal Water Resort Blocksyl is located in the Kop van Overijssel, between the picturesque town of Blokzijl (750 metres on foot, 350 metres by boat) and the tourist destination Giethoorn. Banks dotted with birds, beautiful sailing routes, idyllic fishing villages and endless views. In this area you will also find Weerribben-Wieden National Park, the largest contiguous peat bog in north-western Europe, which can be explored on foot, by bike or on a boat. The resort has a small-scale character and is spaciously laid out. Green and sustainability are key here: the resort is adjacent to a Natura 2000 area and, once opened, will be certified with a Green Key, a prestigious international eco-label for the tourism industry.

The holiday homes
The holiday homes will be available in various designs for 2, 4 and 6 persons. Thanks to the high-quality materials and energy-efficient choices, the homes are built to last: built of sand-lime brick, gas-free (with combined air conditioning and heating units), equipped with at least five solar panels and energy-efficient. The properties can be equipped with, among other things, additional solar panels, a charging station and/or a wellness area. Each residence has a fantastic view over the water. Many of the plots also have direct access to the Noorderdiep, the waterway link between Blokzijl and the lake Giethoornsche Meer. In and near the park, facilities such as a reception desk, an outdoor swimming pool, a bicycle/boat rental service and a playground will also be available.
